2008-09 NFL MVP goes too?

As the 2008-2009 NFL season is coming to an end. Next up will be the playoffs. A lot of people are talking about, Whos going to win the superbowl this year? Or who is going in the 1st round in the NFL draft. But one thing I have not heard much about is who's going to win the MVP this year? Here are SOME of the players that I think should be in the running of it.

Last year, New Englands Tom Brady won the award. But of coarse he cannot win it again this year. Some say Matt Cassell should be in the running for it. Really? I mean he has led the team to a 10-5 season so far as a backup. Why not mention his name?

What about Chad Pennington? Who would have thought this? Another player that has put up some impressive numbers with a team who finished 1-15 last year! He definatly needs to be mentioned.

Alright lets get off the quarterback subject and turn too the Runningback face of view. One who really does stand out is Carolinas DeAngelo Williams. He has carried the ball over 1337 yards with 18 TD too help his panthers to 11-4 so far.

Another Runningback doing his thing is Adrian Peterson. Wow, Kid is a beast. I didn't think he would have that good of a NFL career. But he has showed me wrong. He has showed viewers that you team doesnt have to be "the best". You just have to have playmakers and he's an example of that.

What about Larry Fitzgerald? His name kind of describes him. He no doubt gives the defenders "Fitz". He has passing yards of 1301. Yet that isnt the best, But he has showed a lot of people he can help carry a team and make big and impressive plays when needed. So can Antwan Bouldin.

Okay. Here we are. This is the player who really does deserve it no doubt! That is Larry's Quarterback Kurt Warner. I don't think anyone can argue with this one. He has stepped up a lot and helped a down Arizona ball team. When was the last time they made the playoffs? Well they are this year, and look who's at quarterback. You have to be pretty good and know what your doing in order to come in and fix a bad team from the past. For crying out loud the man is 37 years old! Yet he is still passing for 4320 yards on 26 Touchdowns! He is currently in 2nd in quarterback ratings. By the season end, He could be leading it.

Missouri Baseball in Pre-Season top 25.

Thats right. The National Collegiate Athletic Association Baseball Pre-Season polls have been released and five Big 12 teams have been selected in the polls. Texas A&M at 9. Texas at 10. Oklahoma State at 14. Baylor at 15. Rounding out is Missouri at 22. Missouri has lost quite a bit, and are looking to establish more power to players that are new. It might be a down year for the tigers as well as pitching. Ian Berger will be our top prospect for this year as a starter. He hit about 95 last year. Started the year as a starter, than lost it, went to a reliver. So we are expecting him to be a starter this year. Greg Folgia is back, But alot of people dont see him being all that excellant this year. Kyle Gibson is also back. This kid has the best chance. He will be one of the best pitchers in the nation this year. But he's the only "top gun" we really have this year. So who knows. But being in the Pre-Season top 25 is a real pleasure.

Missouri Basketball on a Roll. Top 25 Already? Not for long.

Well The Missouri basketball is off to a great start no doubt. Probably one of there best starts in Mizzou Basketball for a long time. They are currently off to a 9-2 start. Well you say 2 losses already? Well they have lost to Ranked team Xavier by 4. 71-75. Who a lot believed if Missouri would have made there free throws down the stretch they could have blown this team away. As of 12-22-08 the Missouri basketball team got ranked in the top 25, and number 25 for the first time since the 2003-2004 season. Thats real impressive. Well untill the faced Illinois in the annual Busch Braggin Rights game, Yeah that wasnt what Mizzou Nation was looking for. As Mizzou went out cold. They couldnt hit a 3 for nothing. Well Illinois took advantage of that and punished Missouri as Illinois won for the 9th straight year in a row 59-75 and are forcing Missouri to get out of the Top 25. Well one thing Missouri fans can be glad about is Kansas Jayhawks, Who have lost 3 games this year. Yes the Defending National Champions who claim to be rebuilding have lost too a NIT team Syracuse and a lousy than 2-6 Massachusetts team and got blowed out by 17 to a medicore at best Arizona team. The Big 12 is down this year. But one thing is true, Watch the University of Missouri tigers to make some noise in the Big 12 and be a surprise team come Big 12 Tournament play as they will be fighting for that NCAA Tournament bid. Also, these guys need you fans out at the Mizzou Arean. So get your tickets and come out Saturday at 3 Central as the Missouri Tiger get set to take on SIU-Edwardsville.
